Elizabeth W. MacLean, M.D.

Dr. MacLean is a Chapel Hill native. She received her undergraduate degree in American History and Literature from Stanford University in 2008. She earned her M.D. with distinction from University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at Northwestern University in 2017. During residency, Dr. MacLean earned certificates in both Advocacy and Primary Care. 


Before joining Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents' Clinic in 2023, Dr. MacLean practiced in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Dr. MacLean loves the full range of General Pediatrics, including preventive medicine and management of acute and chronic conditions. 


Dr. MacLean lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and 2 children. Outside of work, she enjoys running, gardening, and all things related to food.
